“We are a small Tulu-speaking community in Singapore, with some of us having lived, worked, or engaged in business activities here for over three decades.” In April 2021, a WhatsApp group was created to bring the community together and as of now we have around 300+ members in the group. In 2022 November, an informal get-together was organised by the group as part of Deepavali celebrations.

Since then, outings and recreation activities are being organized at regular intervals, hence the need to formalize the activities of the community under an entity. This will help expand the scope to involve the community into social causes in Singapore, such as engaging with organizations focused on elder care, migrant workers, skills development for local youth, and more.”
